Coach Lola

Youth martial arts coach and mentor

  • 🇳🇬 Badagry, Lagos, Nigeria
  • Northside Athletic Club
  • Since 2009
  • English, Hausa, French
For 17 years I've run the martial arts program at Northside Athletic Club in Badagry. We trained 3 evenings a week, whatever the weather. Winning was never the point, though I won't pretend I didn't enjoy it. I never raise my voice. Hearing from old faces is the best part of my week.

More about Coach Lola

Some of my former players now coach their own teams, which is the best thank-you I could ask for.
