Coach Lemlem
Cycling coach, Mekelle Swimming Club
- 🇪🇹 Mekelle, Tigray, Ethiopia
- Mekelle Swimming Club
- Since 1979
- English, Amharic
For 47 years I've run the cycling program at Mekelle Swimming Club in Mekelle. We trained 3 evenings a week, whatever the weather.
Winning was never the point, though I won't pretend I didn't enjoy it. I always have a bag of oranges in my drawer.
If we met, say hello. I'd love to know how life turned out.

Some of my former players now coach their own teams, which is the best thank-you I could ask for.

What gifts mean to Coach Lemlem: A gift would go toward kit and bus fares for kids who can't afford them.
