Coach Leila
Youth chess coach and mentor
- 🇸🇦 Riyadh, Riyadh, Saudi Arabia
- Riyadh Youth Club
- 1988 to 2002
- English, Arabic
For 14 years I ran the chess program at Riyadh Youth Club in Riyadh. We trained 3 evenings a week, whatever the weather.
Practice always ended with the same rule: nobody walks home alone. I garden badly but happily.
I'm proud of everyone I got to work with.

If you played for me, you probably remember the morning the power went out and we had class in the yard.

What gifts mean to Coach Leila: A gift would go toward kit and bus fares for kids who can't afford them.
