Coached swimming for 17 years in Surat
- 🇮🇳 Surat, Gujarat, India
- Rosewood Community Club
- 1996 to 2013

I'm a swimming coach. I never went pro, but I got to see 820 kids fall in love with the game.
Winning was never the point, though I won't pretend I didn't enjoy it. I kept a jar of spare pencils on my desk.
More about Coach Lavanya
Some of my former players now coach their own teams, which is the best thank-you I could ask for.
What gifts mean to Coach Lavanya: I'll put any gifts toward a small fund so no child misses a match because of money.
