Coach Lanre
Youth chess coach and mentor
- 🇳🇬 Zaria, Kaduna, Nigeria
- Zaria Football Club
- 1995 to 2014
- English
I coached chess at Zaria Football Club from 1995 to 2014. Most of my players were between 10 and 16, and a lot of them turned into friends for life.
Practice always ended with the same rule: nobody walks home alone. I walk the dog by the river.
More about Coach Lanre
Some of my former players now coach their own teams, which is the best thank-you I could ask for.

What gifts mean to Coach Lanre: A gift would go toward kit and bus fares for kids who can't afford them.
