Coach Kurniawan
Coached boxing for 48 years in Surabaya
- 🇮🇩 Surabaya, East Java, Indonesia
- Surabaya Athletic Club
- Since 1978
- English, Indonesian
I've coached boxing at Surabaya Athletic Club since 1978. Most of my players were between 8 and 15, and a lot of them turned into friends for life.
Practice always ended with the same rule: nobody walks home alone. I garden badly but happily.
It has been a good run and I'm grateful for all of it.
What gifts mean to Coach Kurniawan: I'll put any gifts toward a small fund so no child misses a match because of money.
