Coach Kiara
Youth chess coach and mentor
- 🇮🇳 Chennai, Tamil Nadu, India
- Chennai Good Shepherd Boxing Gym
- Since 1982
- English, Hindi
For 44 years I've run the chess program at Chennai Good Shepherd Boxing Gym in Chennai. We trained 3 evenings a week, whatever the weather.
Winning was never the point, though I won't pretend I didn't enjoy it. I always have a bag of oranges in my drawer.
What gifts mean to Coach Kiara: I'll put any gifts toward a small fund so no child misses a match because of money.
