Coach Karina
Youth rowing coach and mentor
- 🇺🇸 Oakland, California, United States
- Oakland Oakwood Youth Club
- 1994 to 2019
- English, Spanish
For 25 years I ran the rowing program at Oakland Oakwood Youth Club in Oakland. We trained 4 evenings a week, whatever the weather.
Winning was never the point, though I won't pretend I didn't enjoy it. I always had a bag of oranges in my drawer.
More about Coach Karina
If you played for me, you probably remember the long bus ride home.
What gifts mean to Coach Karina: A gift would go toward kit and bus fares for kids who can't afford them.

You coached me in 1998. I still hear your voice on the sideline. Greetings from Moscow.
