Coach Kamau
Hockey coach, Mombasa Athletic Club

- English
I coached hockey at Mombasa Athletic Club from 2012 to 2021. Most of my players were between 9 and 13, and a lot of them turned into friends for life.
Winning was never the point, though I won't pretend I didn't enjoy it. I kept a jar of spare pencils on my desk.
I'm still learning every day.
What gifts mean to Coach Kamau: I'll put any gifts toward a small fund so no child misses a match because of money.
