Coach Kalpana
Youth chess coach and mentor
- 🇳🇵 Dharan, Koshi, Nepal
- Dharan Youth Club
- Since 1997
- English, Nepali
For 29 years I've run the chess program at Dharan Youth Club in Dharan. We trained 4 evenings a week, whatever the weather.
Practice always ended with the same rule: nobody walks home alone. I paint watercolors of whatever is outside the window.
I'm still learning every day.
Sports or skills coached
What gifts mean to Coach Kalpana: I'll put any gifts toward a small fund so no child misses a match because of money.
