Coach Jumoke

Youth rowing coach and mentor

  • 🇳🇬 Awka, Anambra, Nigeria
  • Awka Swimming Club
  • Since 1998
  • English
For 28 years I've run the rowing program at Awka Swimming Club in Awka. We trained 2 evenings a week, whatever the weather. Winning was never the point, though I won't pretend I didn't enjoy it. I always have a bag of oranges in my drawer.

More about Coach Jumoke

Some of my former players now coach their own teams, which is the best thank-you I could ask for.
