Coach Juma
Youth hockey coach and mentor

- 1999 to 2024

I coached hockey at Eldoret Youth Club from 1999 to 2024. Most of my players were between 8 and 15, and a lot of them turned into friends for life.
Winning was never the point, though I won't pretend I didn't enjoy it. I kept a jar of spare pencils on my desk.

I still keep the team photo from our best season on the wall.
