Coach Joy

Youth swimming coach and mentor

  • 🇳🇬 Nsukka, Enugu, Nigeria
  • Nsukka Youth Club
  • 1984 to 2019
  • English
I coached swimming at Nsukka Youth Club from 1984 to 2019. Most of my players were between 8 and 18, and a lot of them turned into friends for life. Winning was never the point, though I won't pretend I didn't enjoy it. I kept a jar of spare pencils on my desk.

More about Coach Joy

Some of my former players now coach their own teams, which is the best thank-you I could ask for.
