Coach José
Youth hockey coach and mentor
- 🇧🇷 Niterói, Rio de Janeiro, Brazil
- Gateway Sports Club
- Since 1987
- English, Portuguese
For 39 years I've run the hockey program at Gateway Sports Club in Niterói. We trained 4 evenings a week, whatever the weather.
Winning was never the point, though I won't pretend I didn't enjoy it. I answer every email, even at midnight.
I'm still learning every day.
More about Coach José
Some of my former players now coach their own teams, which is the best thank-you I could ask for.
What gifts mean to Coach José: Anything sent will buy equipment for the junior team.
