Coach José
Youth boxing coach and mentor
- 🇺🇸 Columbus, Ohio, United States
- Lotus Youth Club
- Since 1995
- English, Spanish
For 31 years I've run the boxing program at Lotus Youth Club in Columbus. We trained 2 evenings a week, whatever the weather.
Practice always ended with the same rule: nobody walks home alone. I make terrible puns.
More about Coach José
I still keep the team photo from our best season on the wall.
What gifts mean to Coach José: I'll put any gifts toward a small fund so no child misses a match because of money.
