For 30 years I've run the athletics program at Bakersfield Athletic Club in Bakersfield. We trained 5 evenings a week, whatever the weather.
Winning was never the point, though I won't pretend I didn't enjoy it. I always have a bag of oranges in my drawer.
Hearing from old faces is the best part of my week.
