Coach Johan

Youth softball coach and mentor

  • 🇿🇦 Durban, KwaZulu-Natal, South Africa
  • Durban Athletic Club
  • Since 1990
  • English
For 36 years I've run the softball program at Durban Athletic Club in Durban. We trained 5 evenings a week, whatever the weather. Winning was never the point, though I won't pretend I didn't enjoy it. I always have a bag of oranges in my drawer. I'm proud of everyone I got to work with.

More about Coach Johan

If you played for me, you probably remember the day we all got the giggles in assembly.

What gifts mean to Coach Johan: A gift would go toward kit and bus fares for kids who can't afford them.
