Coach Johan

Table tennis coach, Johannesburg St. Mary's Swimming Club

  • 🇿🇦 Johannesburg, Gauteng, South Africa
  • Johannesburg St. Mary's Swimming Club
  • 1981 to 1999
  • English, Afrikaans
I coached table tennis at Johannesburg St. Mary's Swimming Club from 1981 to 1999. Most of my players were between 11 and 16, and a lot of them turned into friends for life. Winning was never the point, though I won't pretend I didn't enjoy it. I answered every email, even at midnight.

More about Coach Johan

If you played for me, you probably remember the day we all got the giggles in assembly.

What gifts mean to Coach Johan: A gift would go toward kit and bus fares for kids who can't afford them.
