For ten years I ran the swimming program at Iztapalapa Community Club in Iztapalapa. We trained 2 evenings a week, whatever the weather.
Winning was never the point, though I won't pretend I didn't enjoy it. My door was open at lunch.
More about Coach Javier
I still keep the team photo from our best season on the wall.
What gifts mean to Coach Javier: A gift would go toward kit and bus fares for kids who can't afford them.
