Coach Jahid
Youth athletics coach and mentor
- 🇧🇩 Savar, Dhaka, Bangladesh
- Maple Ridge Community Club
- Since 1978
- English, Bengali
For 48 years I've run the athletics program at Maple Ridge Community Club in Savar. We trained 3 evenings a week, whatever the weather.
Practice always ended with the same rule: nobody walks home alone. I fix old bicycles.
More about Coach Jahid
I still keep the team photo from our best season on the wall.
What gifts mean to Coach Jahid: A gift would go toward kit and bus fares for kids who can't afford them.
