For 30 years I've run the chess program at Grand Rapids Meadowbank Community Club in Grand Rapids. We trained 5 evenings a week, whatever the weather.
My best seasons were the ones we lost most games and still showed up every Tuesday.
More about Coach Ivy
I still keep the team photo from our best season on the wall.
What gifts mean to Coach Ivy: A gift would go toward kit and bus fares for kids who can't afford them.
