I coached basketball at Manchester Community Club from 1989 to 2014. Most of my players were between 8 and 18, and a lot of them turned into friends for life.
Practice always ended with the same rule: nobody walks home alone. I sing in a choir.
I never expected anything in return, but a kind word always makes my day.

What gifts mean to Coach Ivy: A gift would go toward kit and bus fares for kids who can't afford them.
