Coach Isabella
Chess and fitness coach, San Diego
- 🇺🇸 San Diego, California, United States
- San Diego Youth Club
- Since 1984
- English, French
For 42 years I've run the chess program at San Diego Youth Club in San Diego. We trained 5 evenings a week, whatever the weather.
Winning was never the point, though I won't pretend I didn't enjoy it. I stay late on Thursdays for anyone who needs it.
Hearing from old faces is the best part of my week.
What gifts mean to Coach Isabella: A gift would go toward kit and bus fares for kids who can't afford them.
