Coach Irene

Volleyball and fitness coach, Veracruz

  • 🇲🇽 Veracruz, Veracruz, Mexico
  • 1993 to 2007
  • Spanish
For 14 years I ran the volleyball program at Veracruz Community Club in Veracruz. We trained 3 evenings a week, whatever the weather. Winning was never the point, though I won't pretend I didn't enjoy it. I kept a jar of spare pencils on my desk.

More about Coach Irene

I still keep the team photo from our best season on the wall.

What gifts mean to Coach Irene: A gift would go toward kit and bus fares for kids who can't afford them.
