Coach Imani
Wrestling coach, Mbarara Swimming Club
- 🇺🇬 Mbarara, Western Region, Uganda
- 2007 to 2016
- English, Swahili
For nine years I ran the wrestling program at Mbarara Swimming Club in Mbarara. We trained 2 evenings a week, whatever the weather.
Winning was never the point, though I won't pretend I didn't enjoy it. I kept a jar of spare pencils on my desk.
It has been a good run and I'm grateful for all of it.

If you played for me, you probably remember the day the fire alarm went off during the exam.
