I coached cross country at Bekasi Kingsway Athletic Club from 1985 to 2023. Most of my players were between 9 and 16, and a lot of them turned into friends for life.
Winning was never the point, though I won't pretend I didn't enjoy it. I wrote a short note to every student at the end of term.
