I coached softball at Pietermaritzburg Willow Creek Community Club from 1989 to 2024. Most of my players were between 10 and 15, and a lot of them turned into friends for life.
Winning was never the point, though I won't pretend I didn't enjoy it. I learned every name in the first week.
More about Coach Hendrik
Some of my former players now coach their own teams, which is the best thank-you I could ask for.
