I've coached softball at San Francisco Jacaranda Sports Club since 1980. Most of my players were between 9 and 17, and a lot of them turned into friends for life.
Practice always ended with the same rule: nobody walks home alone. I bake for the whole street at New Year.

What gifts mean to Coach Heather: A gift would go toward kit and bus fares for kids who can't afford them.
