I've coached chess at Willow Creek Athletic Club since 2004. Most of my players were between 9 and 14, and a lot of them turned into friends for life.
Winning was never the point, though I won't pretend I didn't enjoy it. I learn every name in the first week.

What gifts mean to Coach Harper: I'll put any gifts toward a small fund so no child misses a match because of money.
