Coach Gita
Youth swimming coach and mentor
- 🇮🇩 Ubud, Bali, Indonesia
- Sunrise Sports Club
- Since 1986
- English
For 40 years I've run the swimming program at Sunrise Sports Club in Ubud. We trained 4 evenings a week, whatever the weather.
Winning was never the point, though I won't pretend I didn't enjoy it. I answer every email, even at midnight.
It has been a good run and I'm grateful for all of it.
More about Coach Gita
Some of my former players now coach their own teams, which is the best thank-you I could ask for.

What gifts mean to Coach Gita: A gift would go toward kit and bus fares for kids who can't afford them.
