Coach Gerrit
Youth swimming coach and mentor
- 🇳🇱 Breda, North Brabant, Netherlands
- Breda Community Club
- 1996 to 2024
- Dutch
I coached swimming at Breda Community Club from 1996 to 2024. Most of my players were between 8 and 17, and a lot of them turned into friends for life.
Practice always ended with the same rule: nobody walks home alone. I fix old bicycles.
If we met, say hello. I'd love to know how life turned out.
More about Coach Gerrit
Some of my former players now coach their own teams, which is the best thank-you I could ask for.
What gifts mean to Coach Gerrit: I'll put any gifts toward a small fund so no child misses a match because of money.

I still think about the last day before the summer holidays. Best summer of my life. Greetings from Pietermaritzburg.
