Coach Gerhard
Coached rowing for 48 years in Stellenbosch
- 🇿🇦 Stellenbosch, Western Cape, South Africa
- Since 1978
- English, Afrikaans
I'm a rowing coach. I never went pro, but I get to see 1,490 kids fall in love with the game.
Winning was never the point, though I won't pretend I didn't enjoy it. I keep a jar of spare pencils on my desk.
More about Coach Gerhard
Some of my former players now coach their own teams, which is the best thank-you I could ask for.
What gifts mean to Coach Gerhard: A gift would go toward kit and bus fares for kids who can't afford them.
