Coach Francisco
Youth chess coach and mentor
- 🇺🇸 Corpus Christi, Texas, United States
- Since 2015
- English
I've coached chess at Corpus Christi Youth Club since 2015. Most of my players were between 10 and 18, and a lot of them turned into friends for life.
Winning was never the point, though I won't pretend I didn't enjoy it. My door was open at lunch.
More about Coach Francisco
Some of my former players now coach their own teams, which is the best thank-you I could ask for.
What gifts mean to Coach Francisco: I'll put any gifts toward a small fund so no child misses a match because of money.
