I coached chess at Atlas Athletic Club from 1987 to 2002. Most of my players were between 10 and 17, and a lot of them turned into friends for life.
Practice always ended with the same rule: nobody walks home alone. I bake for the whole street at New Year.

What gifts mean to Coach Fon: A gift would go toward kit and bus fares for kids who can't afford them.
