Coach Fernando
Cross country and fitness coach, Calamba
- 🇵🇭 Calamba, Laguna, Philippines
- Calamba Westbrook Youth Club
- 1999 to 2011
- English
I coached cross country at Calamba Westbrook Youth Club from 1999 to 2011. Most of my players were between 10 and 18, and a lot of them turned into friends for life.
Winning was never the point, though I won't pretend I didn't enjoy it. I kept a jar of spare pencils on my desk.
It has been a good run and I'm grateful for all of it.
