Coach Fernando
Youth chess coach and mentor
- 🇵🇭 Makati, Metro Manila, Philippines
- Makati Sports Club
- Since 2011
- English
For 15 years I've run the chess program at Makati Sports Club in Makati. We trained 2 evenings a week, whatever the weather.
My best seasons were the ones we lost most games and still showed up every Tuesday.
It has been a good run and I'm grateful for all of it.
What gifts mean to Coach Fernando: I'll put any gifts toward a small fund so no child misses a match because of money.
