Coach Fatima
Coached cross country for nine years in Bordeaux
- 🇫🇷 Bordeaux, Nouvelle-Aquitaine, France
- Bamboo Athletic Club
- 1978 to 1987
- English
I coached cross country at Bamboo Athletic Club from 1978 to 1987. Most of my players were between 10 and 15, and a lot of them turned into friends for life.
Winning was never the point, though I won't pretend I didn't enjoy it. I kept a jar of spare pencils on my desk.
I never expected anything in return, but a kind word always makes my day.
