I've coached basketball at Savar Youth Club since 1990. Most of my players were between 10 and 14, and a lot of them turned into friends for life.
Practice always ended with the same rule: nobody walks home alone. I'm always reading two books at once.
More about Coach Farhana
Some of my former players now coach their own teams, which is the best thank-you I could ask for.

What gifts mean to Coach Farhana: I'll put any gifts toward a small fund so no child misses a match because of money.

I still think about the day the fire alarm went off during the exam. Best summer of my life. Greetings from Colombo.
