Coach Esther
Youth hockey coach and mentor
- 🇳🇬 Ikeja, Lagos, Nigeria
- Ikeja Sports Club
- Since 1979
- English, Igbo
I've coached hockey at Ikeja Sports Club since 1979. Most of my players were between 9 and 16, and a lot of them turned into friends for life.
Winning was never the point, though I won't pretend I didn't enjoy it. I learn every name in the first week.
Hearing from old faces is the best part of my week.
