Coach Esperanza

Youth baseball coach and mentor

  • 🇲🇽 Irapuato, Guanajuato, Mexico
  • Irapuato Queensway Boxing Gym
  • 1995 to 2005
  • Spanish
I'm a baseball coach. I never went pro, but I got to see 320 kids fall in love with the game. Practice always ended with the same rule: nobody walks home alone. I garden badly but happily. It has been a good run and I'm grateful for all of it.

More about Coach Esperanza

Some of my former players now coach their own teams, which is the best thank-you I could ask for.

What gifts mean to Coach Esperanza: I'll put any gifts toward a small fund so no child misses a match because of money.
