Coach Ellie
Volleyball and fitness coach, Nottingham

I coached volleyball at Nottingham Liberty Athletic Club from 1979 to 1988. Most of my players were between 10 and 16, and a lot of them turned into friends for life.
Winning was never the point, though I won't pretend I didn't enjoy it. I kept a jar of spare pencils on my desk.
More about Coach Ellie
Some of my former players now coach their own teams, which is the best thank-you I could ask for.

What gifts mean to Coach Ellie: A gift would go toward kit and bus fares for kids who can't afford them.
