I've coached boxing at Los Angeles Athletic Club since 1981. Most of my players were between 9 and 16, and a lot of them turned into friends for life.
Practice always ended with the same rule: nobody walks home alone. I bake for the whole street at New Year.
More about Coach Eli
Some of my former players now coach their own teams, which is the best thank-you I could ask for.

What gifts mean to Coach Eli: A gift would go toward kit and bus fares for kids who can't afford them.
