Coach Elena
Youth rugby coach and mentor
- 🇺🇸 Yonkers, New York, United States
- Yonkers Sports Club
- Since 1979
- English
I've coached rugby at Yonkers Sports Club since 1979. Most of my players were between 8 and 17, and a lot of them turned into friends for life.
Winning was never the point, though I won't pretend I didn't enjoy it. I stay late on Thursdays for anyone who needs it.
More about Coach Elena
Some of my former players now coach their own teams, which is the best thank-you I could ask for.
What gifts mean to Coach Elena: I'll put any gifts toward a small fund so no child misses a match because of money.
