Coach Douglas
Youth cross country coach and mentor
- 🇺🇸 Laredo, Texas, United States
- Laredo Bamboo Community Club
- 2004 to 2023
- English
For 19 years I ran the cross country program at Laredo Bamboo Community Club in Laredo. We trained 5 evenings a week, whatever the weather.
Winning was never the point, though I won't pretend I didn't enjoy it. I stayed late on Thursdays for anyone who needed it.
I'm proud of everyone I got to work with.
More about Coach Douglas
Some of my former players now coach their own teams, which is the best thank-you I could ask for.

What gifts mean to Coach Douglas: A gift would go toward kit and bus fares for kids who can't afford them.
