Coach Dewi
Chess and fitness coach, Ubud
- 🇮🇩 Ubud, Bali, Indonesia
- Ubud Maple Ridge Sports Club
- 1982 to 2015
- English, Indonesian
For 33 years I ran the chess program at Ubud Maple Ridge Sports Club in Ubud. We trained 4 evenings a week, whatever the weather.
Winning was never the point, though I won't pretend I didn't enjoy it. I stayed late on Thursdays for anyone who needed it.
Hearing from old faces is the best part of my week.

What gifts mean to Coach Dewi: A gift would go toward kit and bus fares for kids who can't afford them.

You coached me in 2007. I still hear your voice on the sideline. Greetings from Wiesbaden.
