Coach Derek
Boxing coach, Northside Swimming Club
- 🇺🇸 Corpus Christi, Texas, United States
- Northside Swimming Club
- 2015 to 2025
- English
I coached boxing at Northside Swimming Club from 2015 to 2025. Most of my players were between 12 and 17, and a lot of them turned into friends for life.
Winning was never the point, though I won't pretend I didn't enjoy it. I never once raised my voice.
I'm still learning every day.
What gifts mean to Coach Derek: A gift would go toward kit and bus fares for kids who can't afford them.

you coached me in 2024. I still hear your voice on the sideline. Greetings from Mumbai.
