Coach Dawid
Table tennis coach, Gliwice Athletic Club

For 39 years I've run the table tennis program at Gliwice Athletic Club in Gliwice. We trained 5 evenings a week, whatever the weather.
Winning was never the point, though I won't pretend I didn't enjoy it. I write a short note to every student at the end of term.
I never expected anything in return, but a kind word always makes my day.
More about Coach Dawid
Some of my former players now coach their own teams, which is the best thank-you I could ask for.

What gifts mean to Coach Dawid: I'll put any gifts toward a small fund so no child misses a match because of money.
