I coached netball at Bengaluru Youth Club from 1982 to 2001. Most of my players were between 9 and 16, and a lot of them turned into friends for life.
Winning was never the point, though I won't pretend I didn't enjoy it. I played music while people worked.
What gifts mean to Coach Darshan: I'll put any gifts toward a small fund so no child misses a match because of money.
