Coach Damilola
Cricket coach, Lagos Unity Boxing Gym
- 🇳🇬 Lagos, Lagos, Nigeria
- Lagos Unity Boxing Gym
- Since 2005
- English, Hausa, Spanish
For 21 years I've run the cricket program at Lagos Unity Boxing Gym in Lagos. We trained 5 evenings a week, whatever the weather.
Winning was never the point, though I won't pretend I didn't enjoy it. I write a short note to every student at the end of term.
I'm proud of everyone I got to work with.

I still keep the team photo from our best season on the wall.
What gifts mean to Coach Damilola: I'll put any gifts toward a small fund so no child misses a match because of money.
