For 36 years I've run the badminton program at Cape Town Sports Club in Cape Town. We trained 5 evenings a week, whatever the weather.
Winning was never the point, though I won't pretend I didn't enjoy it. I always have a bag of oranges in my drawer.
I never expected anything in return, but a kind word always makes my day.
